“You know, school starts in a few days.”
I usually walk a route around three schools each day. When school resumed this last week I had to rethink my route, consider what time of day it was and decide whether or not I wanted to risk my life. Those teenagers that worked those summer jobs and found a way to land their first car are a scary thing. Along the route I noticed the city has installed hazard rails at curves in the roads. I can’t decide if this is a good or a bad thing. :-(
Maybe freeway walking is the trick up my sleeve. Stay tuned…
I remember my first car! I was 16. Though it was too slow to be a threat to anyone. I remember watching a turtle going whizzing by one time on the freeway. :-)
Lol! Were you driving your pedal car on the freeway? ;)
1967 Datsun 510. Third hand. The memories :-)
Was it orange? I think I passed you. :)
They were all orange! :-)
I thought there was a yellow or putrid green one, also. I’m probably remembering the Volvo.
The colour faded with too much sun. The puke green was the Volkswagen of the era. My brother had the puke green. :-)
It started here two weeks ago! As a former teacher, who is really glad about being a former teacher, I give back to school a double ARGGGGGGGGGG! :)
What ever happened to starting after Labor Day? It’s just cruel to start before hand!
The only good thing is the little sticky people keep the woofies entertained as they walk by.
Reblogged this on habitsnquirks.
Yeah …. it has already a week in where I live! And the safety commercials are a bit annoying for our town. I mean kids run loose all summer and they only talk about it during and School? I mean the ADULTS need to go back to school if they don’t realize THAT!
The black one is either complaining or looks a bit like yawning! :o
“I don’t care if schools starts, so long as I can eat sardine sandwiches every day.”
Commiserating on the same page – cameraderie. :D
