For Christmas we asked for catnip,
And for New Year’s a new toy mouse.
For Easter a wind-up rat with a tail
That lives in its own little house.
For our birthday we wanted liver,
For St. Patty’s a platter of beef,
For Thanksgiving – fresh turkey, but now
You will see, your wallet will cry with relief…
For all we would like for Valentine’s Day,
Is for you to tickle our toes.
Give us a snuggle, a scratch and a hug,
And a gentle wee kiss on the nose.
