Ode To Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving

To the tune of “Over the River and Through the Woods.”

Over the dinner, and through the food,
To Grandmother’s plate we go; ♫
our noses endowed to find it somehow
through the white and yellow snow.

Over the dinner, and through the food—
oh, how it disappears! ♫
Our grandma shouts and bites our snouts,
that breath could kill a deer!

Over the dinner, and through the food—
on our grandmother’s empty plate
we gorged ourselves like ravenous elves
for Christmas we can’t wait!!! ♫
