Counting Whiskers

Here’s a post from a previous winner of the Whisker Count Contests. Not only is she a cat lover, she has a pet sitting business and volunteers at an animal shelter. She has a wonderful blog that I recommend you visit. (She also looks good in our T-shirt) 🙂

I have been around a lot of cats and apparently accurately counting their whiskers from afar was a hidden talent of mine. This talent was just waiting to be discovered when the right opportunity presented itself via Cats at the Bar, and one debonair orange tabby named Tsuki.

Below I “rein-act” how I won the Tsuki Whisker Count Contest where I counted 36 whiskers, and really it was exactly like this except on a computer screen, one whisker at a time. Alright, maybe I wasn’t the only one who counted correctly, but the cat did pick my name from his food bowl and that does counts for something.
